Biography
Mikail Berg is a third-year Ph.D. student in Religious Studies. His interests lie at the intersection of race, ethnicity, and religion in the late antique world, particularly in the Eastern Mediterranean. He completed his ThM at the Vancouver School of Theology looking at the Syriac Short Recension of Ignatius of Antioch in a late antique ascetic context. Mikail also holds a MATS in the History of Christianity from Regent College (Vancouver, Canada) and a BA in Intercultural Studies with a concentration in the Middle East from Northwest University (Seattle, WA). He grew up in the Pacific Northwest and enjoys exploring the outdoors with his family and trying new recipes.
