Biography
Jeanie earned her B.A. from Swarthmore College and her M.A. from the Courtauld Institute of Art. At the Courtauld she studied gothic cathedral architecture and church furnishings, particularly the destruction and reconstruction of the reredos in Southwark Cathedral. After her master’s, Jeanie worked at the Norton Simon Museum, as a Kress Fellow at the Portland Art Museum, and as a curatorial assistant at the Clark Art Institute. She is interested in how the past is reused and reinterpreted to create idealizations of history through both art historical analysis and restorations of medieval art.
